Painting bedroom furniture.not sure how?

Question:I am painting my bed, it is a captains type bed with drawers. I am painting it white maybe but I am not sure where is the best place to get that paint, do I need primer? How long will it take to paint it and tehn when is it dry? What Kind of brushes should I use? How many people should help, if any, and any other information possible would be great : )

make sure the first coat you use is a melamine primer.then you can use any paint you like.for cleanest look use a small foam roller.im a painter of 15 years and always use melamine first it stops the other paints from scratching off.
