Would you have your flat screen TV installed on your wall?
Question:would you reather have the flat screen installed on your wall or would you reather not? for those who have flat screen tv hanging on their wall, do you sometime wish that you hadnt installed on your wall and have it sit on the entertainment center on your living room floor? my wife is telling me that she think it is better to have in sit on the living room floor then hanging it on the walls. any of you had a second though after you had it installed? thank you for your time.

Putting the TV on the wall does look nice, but if you have other components to go with it, you still need a place to put them. I have a cable box, DVD player, and receiver. The stand I got was made for flat TVs, so it is very thin (comes about 16" away from the wall. It gives me a place to put the components and looks pretty sharp. I have seen TVs mounted on the wall when components are in a small cabinet, stand, or similar. The components always look out of place. Keep in mind that your components need to breathe. If you are considering placing them in a remote location, it needs to be well ventilated. Also keep in mind the signal attenuation. If the components are 15 feet from the TV (vs 3 feet) the signal may loose quality.
Obviously do whatever you think will look best in your place. I suggest a stand because it looks good, can be cheaper than the wall mount, holds your components, and is more flexible if you ever want to change the arrangement of your entertainment room.
i think it looks better when you install it on the wall and have the cords run behind the wall. so much cleaner.
The wall was a pain, on a stand you can pivot it as your like, where as on a wall you have to sit at the same angle every time to get a direct view of the screen. I prefer it on a stand.
I have two tvs that hang on the wall, and 4 that don't. I wish that all my tvs were on the wall. Easier to clean, don't take up room, etc., etc.
However, what's the fuss. If you hang it on the wall and don't like it, take it down and patch the wall.
I prefer the tv hanging on the wall. It doesn't take up floor space, it won't be pulled down by a toddler, you don't need a huge, bulky cabinet to hide it, you can put a nice frame around it to dress it up a bit and best of all, the picture is great!
Good luck!
i would "rather" not have it hanging on the wall since when u wana move it it won't budge and it takes a whole lot of trouble taking it out when u need to
u can juz buy a TV desk and put it on the desk and watch it anywhere you want
MOBILE TV ROCKS ^^
it would be better if u hang it on ur wall.save spaces, more systematic.
I 'd like it better on the wall.
i was going to but since my f/s/tv is about 90 pounds i desided not to.. even though the hangers that they have i'll hold them i just did'nt want to..besides theres alot of wires that come out of the back of that thing.. i know it'll be flat but i did'nt like it. so i brought a table from walmart and put it on it.
We have ours mounted above our fire place (gas not "real" woodburning type) and it looks great!! I wouldn't have it any other way. It hangs like a picture on the wall. It is great also if you have small children (we have an 8 month old daughter) cause grabby little hands can't get to it! We have never second guess having it wall mounted - ever!!
