i have seen a lot of the purples lately. like dark purple and lavender
I like the warm colors ie. brown and tan. Bathrooms, I like the spring colors, especially orange.

I wouldn't go for a popular color. I think something different like pink and maroon or pink and hunter green is nice in a females bathroom. For the living room I thing cream or neutral colors.

Since most bathrooms are small, use a light colored paint to make the room appear larger. Mine is cream with sage green trim, and cream & sage green tile. I've accented with lavenders, pinks, and yellows.
Living rooms are a differnt story. Depending on the style you're going for, they can be painted light or dark colors. You can trim in complimentary colors. Mine is pale yellow with pale green trim.
