How do i decorate a grave site.?
Question:My father just has a head stone and looks really plane. i want to livin it up. i went to europe and saw ther grave sites and was really in prested. i need some idease and some pics. Can anyone help me?

Sorry about your loss... I can imagine how you feel and understand you need to make it a nicer place.

If it were me and there were no limits, I'd put a nice little bench, some flowers in my dad's favorite colors, a small tree that will grow over the years and give you shade when you visit, perhaps a small birdbath and definitely flowers to attract butterflies and a birdhouse in a nearby tree to hear the birds sing.

Flowers should do the trick. Depending on where the site is located you can possibly use candles or artifical lighting. Good luck and sorry for your loss.
It is good that you care enough to think of doing something like that out of respect for your dad. It is just a demon station of the fact you cared very much for the person. It is not necessary to go overboard with such a matter as the grave only marks the place of the person's body, the real person (soul) is not there. If he was a believer when he died pray that God will keep him in His care. Your dad would be proud of you,
I was just in the same boat you are,except it was my uncle's grave cite that I wanted to fix up.And I have to tell you, you'll soon see there is no wrong way to decorate the cite. Different places have different rules about what you can put where, but basically do what feels right to you. I go an decorate my uncles cite with flower arrangements. But I don't just put flowers, I try to personalize the arrangement. For example my uncle was a huge Pittsburgh steeler football fan so I do the arrangements in those colors and add little favors such as mini footballs to make it really special.
