I have black granit tile should I use it for our master bath or the front entryway floor?
Question:I am not sure where to use this tile. I would love the front entry but yet the master bath could really use a up date too. Let me know your thoughts.

I would reccommend you put it in the front entry floor, because black is kind of a dark color for a bathroom, it can make a small bathroom look even smaller, so it all really depends on the size of your master bath.
If you are going to be selling it soon, I would put it in the foyer. First impressions sell a house, you know. However, if you will be living in it a while longer, I would be tempted to put it in the bathroom - an area that you use more so you will be able to enjoy the tile more than you would if it were located in an area of the house you don't use much.
Front entry would be best opposed to dark flooring in a bathroom.
Use black in the bathroom. Front entryway should be dirt neutral(like tan,sand,or bone). This will save you from wanting to mop it constantly because the traffic dirt won't show up as quickly! ;-)=
Black granite, although being a pretty tough surface, will show surface scratches and wear and tear from the entryway before it would in the master bath. As you know, entryways carry more traffic, and it's usually with dirtier feet than a bathroom. Its pretty hard to remove scratches from or polish black granite. It never quite looks as good as it came from the supplier. That being said, I have dark granite in my entryway and it looks great there. If your master bath is big enough and the black wont make it too dark, that is also a possiblility. I know I haven't given you a direct answer, but I hope the options will help you make a decision.
Entry would be a bad idea, seeing as granite floors scratch easily (you should keep sand, dirt and grit to a minimum). Unless you use floor rugs over it, I would try the bathroom. Be sure to wipe up any spills immediately because liquids, especially oil and grease, can seep deep into the floor and leave a nasty stain. For regular cleaning, mop with detergent and warm water making sure to get up all the dirt. If you don't, the remaining dirt sinks back into the floor as the surface dries. :)
Consider using the black granite in both rooms as an accent against light polished travertine. Cut the granite into 4 inch or 6 inch squares and inset at corners of the travertine, this creates a very attractive art deco feel. You could also put a border of black granite around the edge of the room.
