Should I appeal to the better side of my husband's nature or should dive for cover.?
Question:Ladies do you have a brick fireplace in your house if so ask you husband what he would do if you had emulsioned over it. I'm trying like frantic to srub it off, my only hope is to make the bricks look like old stock bricks and leave some white patches here and there.
What should I do? H...elp
Answers:
Emulsion, assuming that is actually what you have used, can be scrubbed off using water....should come off fairly easily if fresh.
Best wishes, mike.
Get some paint the colour of the original bricks and paint over them again..!
Smash it down & tell him you come home & found it like that :D
Sorry......stupid answer......
Paint it brick colour
:D
OMG, lol, I know how frantic you must be! My hubby is the same way. It has to be his idea. Well, the damage is done and all you can do is say honey, I screwed up. Then when he's thinking it may be something ultra horrible tell him what you did. He'll be relieved you didn't gamble away all of the savings or crash the car into the back of the house. He'll still piss *** around for a few days but he'll get over it.
Sending peace vibes!~~~~~~
You could get a paint that closely matches the original brick color and use a textured sponge to apply. Leaving a bit of white here and there. You could also try steel wool pads to remove the vast majority of it. Good luck.
Oh my god this is funny. I should not laugh at your expence but I am a married man and could just imagine my wife doing this, I would quite honestly just laugh my head off and say something to the words of I did not like it anyway, and then treat her to a new one as she was not happy with the old one
lol im still laughing about this every time I read it, I cant help it I keep seeing this fireplace that should be brick covered in white paint for some reason and cracking up. I just hope he will see the funny side in a few months once he has calmed down, good luck
As a husband, its tricky however the brick will have soaked up the paint ... you can jet wash it out but it will be messy, it will do the trick as i got some paint on a wall that was not intended to be painted and that got it out. hope this helps :)
