I want to redecorate my room?
Question:I am a college student, and i do a ton of sports. and well i have a room that is somewhat lame right now. navy blue with an american styl border going around the top, and whit celiling. I just need a change. I would like some with maybe some pictures painted or maybe some items painted. anything just mine is boring now. any ideas. limits (none) well money.

What about painting a lighter blue an you have right now, and hanging pictures of all your favorite sports on the wall? And remove the border lol. But don't paint the ceiling, leave it white, painting your ceiling a color can make rooms seem a lot smaller, and too dark.
Remove the border, paint the walls a beige/creme/tan color. Leave the ceiling white. These colors are a bit more sophisticated and are suitable for a young man. Use black accents in moderation.
Frame a couple of 'headlines' (newspaper articles) about your favorite teams and hang them. Use black frames. Get a bulletin board and paint the frame black. Hang it. Buy a solid color spread (what's your favorite color?) Use blinds on the windows.
You can hang a tennis racket, prop baseball bats in a corner, prop skis in the corner, hang skates, etc.

First of all, get rid of the border! Start with new bedding, and work from there. Choose a neutral or soft color from the bedding for your walls. You can bring in a pillow case when searching for your paint colors to the paint store and match the colors. I would use Benjamin Moore paints. Try not to decorate around a "theme" of any kind. Be simple, clean, uncluttered, and you'll have a bedroom foundation to work with after the beautiful bed and walls you've now created.
first of all, the border must go! :) try a new coat of paint! maybe a nice earthy tone with white trim. you can also try putting up pics of your fav player or team in a black wall frame. new bedding will probably be needed, again go with something that matches the color you choose for the walls. if you don't already have shelves, you can try putting up a few for all your sport stuff or books. maybe a unit with a place to put baskets that you can fill with misc things..key is to de-clutter the room. it'll make the room look bigger. have fun!
