I am looking for alternative window treatments to cover the patio doors in my kitchen.?
Question:Seems that everyone uses vertidal blinds, and I want something different. The kitchen cabinets are kind of antique look, and I have also looked at window blinds, but they dont seem to suit the cabinets. Any suggestions?

Possibly a window film or design that is a cling to cover them with a valance or swag topper would be workable if you dont need the total privacy of full coverage. Or a stained glass detail done in the center of them would be lovely as well.
Other than drapes or blinds it appears one is limited by what can actually cover patio doors to give privacy though.
Roll up shades would be a nice cover as well and when they are pulled they give total privacy, when they are they can roll up under a valance or swag and be un-noticable.
Personal preferance is a big part of what you choose though. It has to be something you are comfortable with.
other than drapes..? .. i don't know if u can find this online but i was helping decor a friend's house & she was going bamboo style & i suggested that we figure out something w/ bamboo runners to put up in place of the vertical blinds. THEN i rec. a catalog from Sears... Lo & Behold!!... there they were jst like i image them... & they folded into ea other to make one long runner -like. It's the best i can explain so u mite try this site & c what i'm talking about & c if u can find something like that if u don't like these.
