What is the difference between a daybed comforter and a twin size comforter?

Comforter or cover?

The daybed COVER doesn't have a back side. They assume it will be against the wall so why put fabric back there?

I don't think I've ever seen a daybed comforter...unless they are using the terms interchangeable.

i used a twin comforter on my daybed, but needed a bed skirt with it.
The mattress sizes are the same but the comforters are not... why.. I have NO idea, but I use twin size on my day bed... it just easiser to find...
about 3" difference
