How much weight can the ikea lack shelf withstand?

I just installed 3 last month. If I remember correctly, the documentation that came with it said 30kgs.
hm.. hard to say. but knowing quality of ikea, they should be able to only hold up the weight of objects that it's supposed to. i.e. books, etc. more expensive items that are made with some sort steel skeletton frames however, are able to withhold objects that it's not expected to such as human beings. lol. you get what you pay for.
25-35 pounds, depending on how well it's attached to the studs. 20 pounds if you just use molly bolts to attach them.
