Does anyone know what kind of chair this is?

Answers:
Possibly English made late 1800 or early 1900. American made circa early 1900 is also a possibility. Can't really see all the detail of workmanship but it looks more English to me.
Take it to your local appraiser ( antique dealer) Who specializes in period furniture.

That is a beautiful antique chair, it look like a dressing chair like they used in the old days to hang clothes on. Hang onto it I bet its worth something.
Maybe it's from Spain.
I think its a cathedral chair used at high masses. They still make them so it could be fairly new or it could be from the 17th century.
