Painting a nursery help! immediately!?

Question:ok so i decided on painting strips on the either the lower part or top part of the walls in our b/g nursery .. i will do variant sizes the larges stipes being green and yellow and small ones here and there in pink and blue to tie in their bedding etc.. my original idea... was the other half of the wall to paint in solid green (same as green in stripe) now im thinking what if the nursery her side is on i paint pink and his side blue and the other walls either green or one green and yellow.. my questions is .. is that to busy.. should i just keep all the portions solid green? and maybe curtains in yellow etc.. and then the pink n blue decorations.. and is it good to do the bottom half in stripes? and the top portion solid or should it be the other way around? TIA

Answers:
1] use the same print for curtains, bedding, etc. Say it is a pink/blue/green/ yellow pattern. Paint each wall a different color if you like - pink with green trim, blue with yellow trim, green with pink trim, and yellow with blue trim.
The print will tie it all together. Add solid rugs in one of the same shades.
2] use the 2/3/4 colors you like best. Then paint walls different colors, say red facing red and blue facing blue.
Hang curtains of the other color on that wall [ blue with red curtains, red with blue curtains ].
3] Paint the bottom half a solid color, and do stripes of that color [ skinny ones ] as well as the other colors you want to use, on top half.
4] I have also seen diagonal [ bottom left corner of wall/top right corner of wall ] division of different colors.
5] If you paint 'her' wall a solid color, you can paint her name on it in a contrasting color [ ex. - pink, purple ]. Then do the combo in 'his' colors on his wall.
YOU are the one who is going to care what the room looks like, not the kids! Make sure to use washable paint.

I love your origional idea...it sounds beautiful, if you have the time and energy before the babys are born, go for it. GL
COMING FROM A PROFESSIONALE PAINTER YOU CAN DO THAT BUT IF IT WE'R ME I WOULD PAINT PINK FOR A GIRL AND BLUE FOR A BOY
Just a thought here because it does sound a bit busy.

Why not pick the girl's color and the boy's color with a neutral trim and make the girl color the wider stripes on her side and then the wider stripes in the boy's color on his side. This way there is cemetery, yet both have an accent in their respective tones with a defined split.
