Can someone tell me how the interior of a home living room may be changed throughout the decades??

Question:starting with the 70's...then to the 80's 90's 2000's and 2010...
what sorts of things would change?
i know the VCR became predominate in the early 80's...
anything would be greatly appreciated..
this is for an art project that is meant to portray the passage of time...
my main objects will be a window with a curtain, a chair with a tv in front..a multi coat hanger...a tv.
the floors and pictures on the wall ...
etc..
any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, about the curtains, in the late 80's and 90's,
I remember that my Mom had frilly, ruffled curtains in the living room.
Colors are important to look at also during the decade changes. Look at the appliances in the 70's - yellows, greens, and those muted tones. The browns also changed.
Wood tones got more popular.
I remember those Vinyl covered kitchen chairs at my Grandmother's in the 80's. I don't see any vinyl covered chairs anymore.
