What color should I use to resurface a 6 ft. long clawfoot bathtub...?

Question:In a bathroom with white walls, black and white octagonal floor tiles, and both radiator and towel bar a dark pewter?
The towels are a beigy yellow.
Should I keep the bathtub white or try another color?
