Concrete garage underground, looking to put above ground pool above it. Will the concrete hold the weight?

Question:My garage is under my back yard. I am looking to put a pool on top of this area. The pool is looking to be about 4000 gallons. Will this be able to hold this amount of weight?

Most likely not. Consult with a structural engineer in your area. If you have original drawings of the garage when it was built, you will need those so he/she can determine the PSI of the concrete as well as the reinforcing bar that was used.

Most garages of the type you describe typically won't hold the amount of weight load you are proposing above it.
