Here in the US we have an independant organization called the AWI (American Woodworking Institute). They are the gold standard for levels of quality and methods of fabrication of all casework, millwork and custom woodwoorking. Their document "Quality Standards" is the reference in all commercial specifications written by US and Canadian Architects for casework in commercial and residential projects put out to bid. The document is over $100 USD but there may be some generic info on their website;
