Range hood?

Question:I am renovating my kitchen, and relocating the piping to the outside, for the hood is a major job. Some are saying that I could use a special filter (I think charcoal filter), rather than venting it to the outside. They say that it works just as well.

If you have one of these, used them, or know about them, can you please give me some info.

Answers:
the charcoal filters are crap and get nasty, if u already have an exsisting range hood outlet then it aint such a big job, u can get all the parts u need from lowes or home depot, not expensive either, if u attempt to do it yourself bare in mind the requirements of the hood, ie, the diameter of the flue/ducting you need, and the less bends u use when running the ducting will improve efficiency of the hood and be cheaper

Nope.. does not work. You will have to deal with grease!
