What kind of kitchen splashback? (not tiles)?
Question:What kind of splashback goes with a curved glass cooker hood.? The hood is 90cm wide, the central steel extractor part is 60cm wide, and the hob is 70cm wide.
Not sure whether you can buy steel or glass splashbacks to this size (in UK or Ireland) or whether we need to get one made.
Answers:
Steel, glass and as previously mentioned, perspex, would all look great. I would recommend that you get them made to fit, however, to look as good as possible.
For perspex, Lucite will be able to advise you on a local stockist:

For something really different in glass, Rupert Scott has some fantastic designs:

For stainless steel, ready made and not too expensive, Tesco stock Baumatic, which seems about the right size:

I think either steel or glass wouyld be good if you can match them exactly to your hood. See this site.

I know you can buy a glass one from next or argos. Not sure on measurements though. Sorry.
personally an professionally id go with the stainless steel choice it looks better with contrasting with the glass also its easier to clean and keep looking shiny . try for a shop that supplies to hospitality they also give trade discounts too!! if your worried about the splotted looks after cleaning the slashback all you need to do is wipe it over with hot soapy water and then dry it but make sure what you do is get a chamois lke cloth and into a small bit of hot water ( As hot as you can get it make sure you wear gloves if you have sensitive hands) and add a bit of baby bath oil and just wet the cloth and squease out all the water from the cloth an wipe over the surface and rub it in a bit like a buffer. makes the stainless steel look fantastic you can also use the same one fridges ovens microwaves anything with steel including bbq's as for the glass part hot hot soapy water and a dry cloth
i know mfi sell steel splash backs but im not sure of size it may be cheaper to go to a diy warehouse instead of a kitchen company.
My daughter had a perspex one made and tinted to the colour of her choice,it came predrilled .She also has a trendy stainless cooker in a retro kitchen and it looks great
