Where can I find a quiet fan for the bedroom?
Question:We just moved into a really great apartment - the only problem, upstairs is HOT! We would like to get a fan for the bedrooms, but they all seem so loud or like they wont move the air very well - is it possible to get a good bedroom fan that is quiet enough to hear the kids, tv and your conversation? (Ceiling fans are out because it's an apartment.)

GO TO HOME DEPOT it is the best place for quiet fans.
Look for the tower style fans that use a squirrel-cage blower instead of a traditional rotating blade. These are very quiet.
A store like Family Dollar or Freds.
I would think a large box style fan would work well, you could keep it on the lowest setting, that way it would make little noise and still move the air around.
well if you are looking for a quiet fan like either a box fan or smaller round fans you should definitely go to wal-mart. they are not only inexpensive but they will suit your needs. they also have tall fans with a leg that rotate. i was just looking at fans the other day.
