Where can i buy 1x1x3" wooden bloks.I make wood baskets i buy in 8'lths and cut to 1x1x3". then I stain them.

Question:I need to buy in bulk. cutting the 1x2 x8' lengths into 1x1x3" rectangles is a bugger. can you tell me how to find a wholesale supplier that comes close to this this size in bulk shipping and any suggestions? I really need the income. i am a single mom and it's getting hard to keep up when i have to contually cut and then stain these wood pieces and nail together to create my designs. thank you so much for your help. Cabinet shops are set up for this kind of work, and often deal in dimensional lumber (where instead of the typical 3/4" lumber we get at the home centers, they get 4/4" lumber, and can rip it to your specifications). Be prepared to tell them how much you mean by bulk--for you that might mean 100 pieces, but to them, it might be 1000. Wood choice will affect the price as well; white pine is probably cheapest, but poplar is easier to work with, but also has a lot of mineral streaking to it.
