How to decorate my bedroom?!?..?

Question:Hi!..My last bedroom was purple with yellow dots all over the wall. And although i love it i need a change. I am doing some very important exams next yar so i want a calm room. But i dont want it to be boring with just one colour on the walls. Does anyone have any ideas on what way i could decorate my room. It will consist of a large desk, a single bed, a bedside cabinet and built in wardrobe. Its not that big of a room but their stil is a good bit of space.

If anyone has ANY ideas on what to do, or any websites that might be abe to help me out please help!!

Thanks so much! ;)..

Green is supposed to be one of the best colours for both calming and concentrating effects, so I'd recommend that!

Try a soft, sage green on three walls, and perhaps consider wallpaper on the wall behind the bed. You could try something like:

Alternatively, for something simpler, look at:

Wallpaper is very fashionable at the moment, and it sounds like you like a bit of drama in your room. This would achieve that, but at the same time create a calm, creative environment.

Go for neutrals and accessorise for the colour, that way you can change when you get bored without opening a can of paint

You can do a lot of cool stuff with paint these days, try painting one wall a chocolate brown and the other three cream, then paint trees on the cream walls with the brown. Finish the room off with some tapestry that you hot glue around the top of the wall creating your own crown molding.
Retro is the new new. Seriously, I'm not kidding. You would probably want one half of the room a very calm colour for revising, and the other half with a colour that contrasts with the calm colour, but reflects your personality. Oh, and buy some old lp's and hang them from the walls, that looks really retro, but in a good way.
I would suggest using peaceful colors, such as blue or green, maybe even small amounts of gray. If you do not want just solid colors or solid colors + a border, you could find some very simple, say, floral or traditional Eastern images and paint them on the wall yourself.

Pictures hanging on the wall might be good, so long as you do not do too many and make things busy to the eye. Perhaps find some pictures of your friends relaxing with you, or scenery that calms you and put them in black and white?

If it doesn't drive you crazy, a small fountain is very soothing as well.

Good luck, and have fun!
To be or not to be? Sounds like you are a Shakespeare fan? Maybe you should go for a renessaince look? It's different anyway, and could be alot of fun! :)
