If it smells, it's still wet. Odor cannot exist without the presence of moisture. You may not be able to tell that it's wet, but moisture meters don't lie.

p.s. If it truly was "flood" water (a body of water over took your home) then the furniture is garbage. Flood water is considered a category 3 water damage. All porous materials that came into contact with that water are now contaminated and unsanitary.
