Beach/cabana/ tropical room ideas for teen!!?
Question:help!! my parents are letting me redo my room and i need ideas! I like aqua and orange for 2 walls and the rest of the room white. I am looking for a desk and great ways for storage!

I'm an artist/mom of 2 teenage boys,...I strongly suggest painting walls the aqua color--Aqua wall/s will be easier on the eye and easier to paint over one day. 12" stripes of aqua and white on one or three walls, as if inside cabana, maybe a futon, with a sisal rug or grass beach mats for a sandy look. Adirondack chairs.. plastic ones or big floor pillows, made from beach towels/use your orange in accessories. Aqua (about the color of tooth paste) and orange-
should be "sherbet" color. Cut surfboard shapes from wood or mdf board, use for tabletops, shelves, long mirror could be put on one, stand up in corner,use over dresser-horizontally. Ceiling fan white, or one with palm leaves for blades(Home Depot)..If you stripe 3 walls, you could drape aqua fabric from stripes to the center of the ceiling...tent like. Find local artist to paint on the "white" wall, a distant scene of the beach, as if you are in cabana, looking at ocean view. Good luck, you sound creative..I painted my kitchen and living room in these colors...and I have black RETRO-ish furniture, all made from something else. Have fun!
