If you have seen Feng Shui in designs, it calls for waterfalls, curving corners rather than sharp angles and?

Question:even the placement of plants and mirrors. Design and placement are supposed to bring good luck to the business or residences. Interesting enough scientists have mentioned taht waterfalls provide negative ions and can make people feel better. Ihave seen a number of buildings adn residences including some banks with Feng Shui designs. I have to admit for my taste they often look nice and I do sence a more peaceful feeling. Any observations?

Answers:
You'll notice A LOT of Feng Shui concepts used on buildings and business areas/countries that are predominantly chinese. From places like China Towns across the world to countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and China: it's usage is all over the place and it's a matter of having the knowledge to notice it.

A lot of buildings using waterfalls or water features use it as a form of enhancing wealth or as a protective measure against shar chi (negative chi). Feng Shui is used for many different purposes, some for the basic positive psychological effect, some for advancement of their career, or businesses/banks that use it for wealth.

It's really interesting to note how many aspects of traditional Feng Shui can be 'translated' into modern western science and both sides will agree on its benefits. As you mentioned about waterfalls, the same could be said of trying to avoid shar chi (foul, negative) or si chi (stagnant, dying) in Feng Shui.

Modern research has shown that stagnant or recycled air will is detrimental overall to your health and wellbeing. This is an excellent question and observation you have put forth!

i dont like feng shui, i think its s good idea and some of its good but things like your bed must face north and facing your door just dont work out.
Hehe...Ummmmmm..6?!..
Feng Shui is great! You can also use wind chimes, wood, colors and other neat things! I love it and it really does make a difference.
Hi, I think Feng Shui makes sense in the general meaning of the idea.

But, you can go to far with it and it becomes strange. I have a friend who designed her whole house using feng shui. She had small mirrors over every drain the house and her living room furniture was positioned in a way that made it difficult to move through the room. She tried to sell her house and it took forever to sell because people just didn't understand the mirrors and the furniture placements and thought it was weird. She was lucky to find someone who could look past that and bought the house.

The general idea of feng shui is great and I totally think it makes sense. But be careful how far you take it!
fengshui does not make you feel good, nor does it bring good energy into your home. on the contrary to what most people believe, fengshui is a compilation of many concepts, each has its own system/ configurations, that pinpoint the location of good energy and bad energy; so you can use these areas to your advantage. but it does not make you feel good.

so what is the waterfall for? in one of the concepts is the flying star method. here, the plot of land where your house is, is divided into 3 columns and 3 rows like a tictactoe grid. in each of the boxes, there are 3 numbers representing mountain, water and time/era. when you "fly the stars" for your house, you will see that the 3 number combinations form either bad or good energy. if a particular area has a good energy, you would want to activate it. to activate is easy, you just use it as a living room or a bedroom. but sometimes, some areas you need to activate, so that the fengshui of the house become timely. to do this activation, you need a moving water feature or a waterfall in this area. water is money. so, by having water at this location, you attract money into your life. on the other hand, mountain refers to health, so some people put a miniture rock formation in an area where the timely mountain is for good health. so you see, waterfalls do not make you feel good - it attracts money if placed at the right location.

but be warned, water placed at the wrong location can make you loose money and go bankrupt. reason why we have fengshui practitioners to do our fengshui stuffs.

plants in the right location can stimulate our social lives; but again in fengshui, as always the emphasis here is the right location. it can also wreck havoc into your life if placed in a wrong location - such as daughters going out with guys who are a bad influence.

mirrors - all i can say is that you read too much fengshui books. if you are really interested to study fengshui, look for a master who is willing to teach you. it might be expensive, but you will get to understand it more fully. rather than reading so many books, and you'd end up believing in superstitions that does not work. with mirrors, people use them in various concepts. it can attract the good and bad fegnshui of what is across it. but it realy depends on how you use it or what kind of mirror are you using - as there is the concave, the convex and the plain mirror.
Yes, feng shui can improve the environment as well as luck.
