Anyone used Feng Shui and do you think it has merit?

Question:I can see how some of it's teachings are useful...(certain colors make you feel more tense or calm, or the "cluttered home, a cluttered mind" saying.)

Has anyone used Feng Shui techniques such as putting objects in pairs(for a mate), no mirrors in the bedroom, placing water features in your "Money direction", etc??

Thanks!

Answers:
It depends on which type of Feng Shui: the new age type of Feng Shui (where everything is generalized and there are no calculations) or the truly traditional Feng Shui (acknowledges individuality and calculations) used in asia. To spot the fake new age Feng Shui schools, they'll claim how your wealth corner is always in one spot which is not true as it depends on the individual and home itself.

Having used traditional Feng Shui for my home, i can honestly say its benefits are amazing. The changes in your life will not happen overnight, but a slow gradual improvement for the better in many aspects of your life (e.g. wealth, harmony, social, etc). I honestly think that you can't lose, when using Feng Shui properly! Hope this info helps! :)

My entire house is Feng Shui. I don't think it necessarily has any validation or merit, if you're looking for luck or money, but it does make for a happy environment and with happy environments come happy people and good things happen to happy people...
The idea around feng shui is by altering your environment you alter the how energy flows around your room.

I feng shuied my home to maximize my love and family corner. A couple of weeks later I had a boyfriend who will be moving in with me in a couple of months. My sister-in-law swears that when they lived in their last house which did not have a south-west corner, her and my brother had a lot of relationship problems (southwest is a love and family area). When they moved to another house they got better. Now I just need to maximize my money direction....

Whether or not it works really doesn't matter. It could all be psychosomatic. But there is very little harm in Feng Shui'ing your house so why not give it a go.
Our house went on the market in October, and by Feb we had no offers at all. In late Feb, Feng Shui teachings seemed to make sense to me, so I followed it as much as possible (we were packing and living there still). In the next few weeks two people seriously were interested, and we have since sold to one of those. I expect the ideas gave me impetus to try something new and focus on changing and improving what I could instead of feeling frustrated. I don't think it was magic, I do think it was great to take a new look at the house and have concrete suggestions of changes to make.
obviously, you read books regarding fengshui. i like to emphasize that fengshui concepts are not published in books - they are taught in seminars. though ms. lillian too wrote about 8 mansions or ba zhai (east-west groups), she did not really talked about the real use of this, or how to attract wealth by using this formula in your kitchen. ms. eva wong wrote about flying stars, but again it is a simple how to. the bulk of fengshui concepts are learned from a fengshui practitioner or a fengshui master, not from a book.

yes, i have used some techniques, but not what you are talking about. i have used a simple water dragon and using castlegate in my office - they both worked fine.
Feng shui is a powerful knowledge.

If you know how to apply it, you feel success and happy around you.

If you do it incorrectly, you know the impact in three months.
