My studio has white walls, but I don't want to paint them, will they be drab?

Question:Is it boring or will they get dirtier easier with white walls?

Im getting a studio apt and I plan to have a maroon carpet for my living room area and cherry walnut furniture.

Will this work?

Answers:
white is going to get dirty very easy, and the maroon carpet and dark furniture will create a lot of contrast. You could paint the walls a soft beige with a red undertone, (NOT YELLOW), if you don't want to do then, they you will need a lot of artwork with reds and other colors. The art will help to lessen the stark walls.

u are right on track
Pure white is liable to make it look to hospitalised. Make sure you break it up with plenty of hanging pictures ect... or you run the danger of appearing to obsessivly clean
They already are, and remain so, unless you paint. The maroon carpet is really going to make the even drabbier.
Beige Paint:)
that will look awesome!
The walls in your studio apt will not be drab. They will remain white until paint, wallpaper or cover them with pictures.
no, especially since there is so much rich color on everything else. i think white walls will be too bland and won't work. Wall paint can go along way and make a great difference in a room. Besides painting is fun, why wouldn't u wanna do it?
Very drab! Colors are in!

Not to mention the maroon carpet will just make the white walls whiter. Try a tan color if you don't want anything dramatic.
