some sort of green
In my house we have a very light blue.. its BEAUTIFUL!
how about a yellow or gold or soemthing. possibly even orange or red, but yellowish gold would def. be better. use warm colors to warm up the room. sounds like floor already has the warmness going on. lol
light blue, sky blue, carmel
orange
red or light red
mabye a VERY light pinkish redish color
try a sunset yellw or try something else.
Forest green would be cool.
i think that a nice soft red would be good
Mustard Yellow, Light blue with white trim, Nice Green.
The key is to keeping the color light, without making it bright. When you have high ceilings, you want to avoid vivid colors. Bright colors like red and blue for instance will make the room seem smaller. You would probably be beter off with a light beige with dark brown trim. The trim will accent the edges and make the room look longer. The beige will still allow a lot of light, but without sacrificing class. Good luck
Something around yellow or carmel. They are warm colors and inviting. They are very pleasent to the eye. Some relaxing, cool colors would be blues and greens but might not go well with your flooring. Go to home depot or lowes, grab a bunch of paint chips (they are free) and go home, hold them up and see which you really like.
maybe a wall paper that is bage and has a border whot ***** willows
Magenta wit grey dabs!
It's when the painter paints it one colour and then uses a brush to randomly dab the walls with a contrasting colour. Nice effect for a basement, as you would be expect the room to be boring
Greens contrast nicely with cherry.
earth colors, terracota or a flat green
BenJamin Moore Bone White-Egg Shell,Very warm,Very Classy.
Blue
Biege
Green
Red
You could choose any shade that you like the best in those basic colors.
I great color for a basement that will blend well with the wood tones is a rich yellow ocher faux finish wall or honey tones.
It looks like a rich Italian or European wall.
BEHR paint products has Faux finishing products at Home depot that the average homeowner can do with the instructions they provide.
Colors in the yellow family will brighten the basement since they tend to not have alot of natural light and create a cozy rich warm feeling.
*remeber when looking at a color samples always pic a color 2 shades lighter than what you like on the paint chip and it will match what you imagine the color will look like once on the walls.

Here you can select a room and change the colors online to see what they look like.
Color called "Butter Cookie", it's got a yellowish orange tone similar to a cantaloupe melon would look real rich and would keep your basement from being dark and dreary, Good luck Les the painter, I've got the formula if your interested
I would probably stay away from too much red. Might contrast with the cherrywood. A bold green or gold color will help accent the color of the wood.
