What are some good color schemes for a teen room?
Question:I get to repaint my room but.. ("no black") anyways, I don't want the too girly feel. I want something cool, light and/or pale, but most of all, i want it to be sophisticated. I have hardwood floors and my bed frame is made of wood. So, any suggestions?
Answers:
if you want sophistication, you can't beat the faux painting techniques. They are so easy to do...do some research on the internet. You can come up with some really cool effects, and they look great no matter what colors you use. I have had great effects using greens, blues, and browns. Here's some pictures to see if you like this look:

I work at a fabric store in the decorating department. I can tell you what a lot of teen and 20ish are picking. If you don't want that too girly feeling. The colors that have been popular lately is chocolate brown and spa/aqua blue. We have gotten so many of those styles of fabric. You can paint the walls the aqua and have chocolate accents throughout. Think of a Tiffany box.
