When Decorating & setting up your bedroom. . .?

Question:are there any rules to follow? like how to place furniture? what to place next to a window or next to the door? i learned about it in 9th grade but have completly forgotten it all.

It all comes down to what you like. I have the head of my bed by the window and I love waking up to the morning light.
