To vague on your question - what type of mirror - big - small - thin - thick - wood frame - hole fixing - metal frame ?

ADDED: HEAVY wooden frame you will need at least 2 metal eyes - the things that net curtain ends hook into BUT STRONGER. You will need to screw those into the wooden frame at equal heights - then use strong picture hanging wire - the steel type NOT the brass type. A good strong picture nail and hook - hammer nail and hook into wall and hang.

For hollow wall - use a proper fixing screw -

is this a mirror in a frame, or a sheet like is frequently glued to a bathroom wall?
hi,
if is a plain mirror and it has holes in each corner, the got to screwfix (www.screfix.com) for some mirror screws... its very easy, if not pop over to ikea, in there picture section thay have some simple brackets two top and two at the bottom. it is easy... i promise... if its a wooden framed mirror, then tak it to a picture framer shop, and for a small fee he will attchaed some either hidden or srfasce bracket then you need x2 screws and hows in your wall... good luck
Jamand is quite right , depends on many things Eg size weight type etc .Short answer is if you don't know how do it get a person in who does If it went wrong you would never forgive yourself.
Try calling a local contractor, ask someone you know who they used, or ask the company where you purchased it from. If you see a similar mirror installed in a store, restaurant or hotel, ask them

Someone should really see the mirror before advising you. The weight of the mirror determines the size of the hangers.
Most mirrors have four holders that go into the wall. Two of the holders are spring loaded. The spring loaded ones will have rods on the sides of the holder that allows the part that hooks over the lip of the mirror to move up and down. The spring loaded hooks get mounted into the wall studs or wall at the top of the mirror. The other two get mounted into wall studs or the wall at the bottom of the mirror. Mounting into the wall studs provides more strength to hold the mirror.

After the hooks have been installed so they are level and as far apart as the edges of the back of the mirror, then you can put the mirror up.

Put the bottom lip of the mirror onto the hooks. Then adjust the mirro how you want it left or right. Then slowly angle it up to the wall. You'll want to have a shoestring or thin wire to loop around the spring loaded hooks at the top. Pull the hook up with the looped shoe string or thin wire, then move the top lip of the mirror under the hook and allow the hook to lower over the lip. Release one end of the shoestring and pull the shoestring out. Do the same thing for the other top hook. Once the top hooks are securely over the top lip of the mirror, you are done.
i would not agree with Jamand, although i see someone else agrees.

too dangerous to hang a big heavy mirrow on picture wire.

Use plate brakets. these are flat, you screw them into the frame from behind, they stick out so you can them screw into the wall. To be honest though, it sounds like you need someone to show you ( not an insult, thats just how it sounds and we all need to learn sometimes ). Find a general handiman through a friends recommendation

This way it will be secure to the wall, not hanging. So you can polish and dust it without fear of moving or knocking it down
It sounds like you have no-one you can call on to help you so why do'nt you call your local volunteer agency(your council can give you the number) and they will send a handyman round to fix it safely for you.It may be nice to make him a cup of tea and maybe give him a couple of pounds to buy himself a beer with as a thankyou.
