Which types of plants are best for a Nautical/Coastal Living decor?
Question:I'm into the whole seaside cottage look and i'm wonding what types of plants best fit in those designs? What's the easiest and cheapest way to achieve that look with silk plants & trees?
Answers:
Hi, I would use different types of long grasses in the decor. Most silk plant stores or craft stores will have these long grass plants.
One of my favorite catalogs is Petals, you can check out their website: http://www.petals.com
Here are some examples of a long grass plant: http://www.petals.com/shopping/product/d...

You can even go so far as cattails:

I like the long grass idea too.
Pfaltzgraff dishes just came out with a Beachcomber design.

I love this theme. I tried to do this theme as a baby room over 20 yrs ago - couldn't find anything - so we created our own, using windsocks, seashells, hooked rugs, pillows, lamps with clear vase bottoms filled with shells, etc.. It was so cute. Of course, now I see that everywhere!
In Texas, cactus, ivy and grown cover vines grow amongst the sanddunes..
Have fun...
