Would it be cheaper to buy window blinds at a Wal-mart or should we go to somewhere like Home Depot?

I got gorgeous wood blinds at Home Depot for cheaper than I would have paid for plastic ones at Wal-Mart. Measure your windows and keep those measurements on you at all times! Talk to someone at your Home Depot store and find out what they do with their mis-cut blinds. At our store they put them out on the last aisle on Saturdays (Lowe's does the same, but on Fridays). We found some miscuts that were an inch too big for our windows. We bought them, then went back to the wood blind dept (with the receipt) and they cut them to our measurements for free. While 38.5" was too short for one guy, it was perfect for us! We bought $150 blinds for $40.
Good luck to you, there should be lots of mis-cuts hitting the stores soon, spring is the time when people decide to buy these type of things :)
Why not call and check the price range at both? The selection will be smaller at Walmart though, but most likely cheaper.
I got mine at WalMart but then I am not hard to please. My only consideration was price.
I believe that good service is more important than cheaper.
Cheaper at wal-mart, but if you need custom blinds go to home depot. Home depot will also have a wide selection.
Wal-mart would definitely be cheaper
I have purchased 3 mini blinds at WalMart over the past year and have no complaints and I would say that they were not expensive, but I did not check Home Depot, just to far to go to.
Walmart is cheaper if you can find the ones you like.
Do you have a 'Big Lots' store near you? They always have shades and they are cheaper than Walmart.
You get what you pay for. Cheap blinds won't darken your room much, but will give you privacy. Home Depot would probably have "prettier" blinds, but at a higher cost.
