Question:What is the diiference in installation and which one is cheaper to do and what are the pros and cons of each. Thank you.

Answers:
The difference is one is solid real wood, the other is laminated wood and wood products. The difference in most installations is that one is attached and the other floating. Cost is relative. Cheap is defined in out of pocket and overtime expenses. There are many benefits and drawbacks to both. Try the included links.

I have heard that laminate is cheaper, easier to install and the upkeep is easier as well. They come prefinished so you don't have to sand them down and stain them. Wood you have to sand it down and stain and then you have to seal it. Then the upkeep is more expensive unless you do it yourself.
