Well you can do something that inspires you. Like if you like make-up A LOT you could draw like lipstick and cut it out and stick them around the room. You could have a meeage on the other side if you want. And you could make a sort of line like a clothes line and put stuff on it.

spray paint the walls, loud music, posters, i like skateboarding so mine has... decks, trux, wheels, bearings, etc. i have a cd playin every sec. lol im listening 2 party like a rockstar on youtube. c-

Look around and find a color that attracts your eye, you can use that as a accent color. Then think about what mood you want the room to be, calm, energetic, etc... then pick an item that goes with that mood. Put your 2 items in front of you and see if you get any ideas. That's what I do and it works for me!!

You can select any theme or any colour combination. You can put some indoor plants, fish aquarium, paintings, wind-chims, lamp-shades, wooden or metal masks on wall, small rugs or carpet pieces of different size and colour, metal artefacts, musical instrument on the wall or in corner of the room, you can have one or two posters may be combination of photo-frames, you can even put some lipstick impressions on the wall by using different shades of lipstick, you can choose any of these combinations depending on your personality, choice of colour, mood, budget and room-space. dont forget to put your study-table, books, music system.

My advice is to find one peice of furniture you really really love, be it a table, bed, couch (depending on the room) and work from there. Use that for the theme, e.g. if you choose a wrought iron bed, you could have an old fashioned themed room, with flowing drapes and girly patterns. Or if you say choose a modular couch, you can have a more modernised look. Also pick a colour you love and filter that through the room. If you think the colour you like is too bold then use vases, pillows, cushions, ornaments, candles, photo frames to bring it all together. Also do it yourself stuff to personalise the room. I saw on a website how to make a lampshade made out of photo film, so that you could see the photos when the lamp was on. Very creative and personal. So look at things like that.
I say that you get pictures of you and your friends and cover them all over your walls. Or maybe just one and make it a special wall. What i did was have half of the wall for my Friends and half for my family because they are the two most important people in my life.
At first - Bring a bucket of oilpaint in your room
Secone - Close all the window and door from inside the room
Third - attached the bucket with a time boom
Fourth - blast the boom
Finally - You see your room !
get a plan and budget...what colors do you like build a color pallet from that...use fabric lots of different textures...do you want clean lines or comfort or a place to relax...just have fun with it
