Ok i want to fix up my basement so i can hang out with me friends in it.?
Question:i have a pool table and a bar. i have exercise equipment and there is a beam that goes down the middle of the room. if anybody has any ideas what i should get/do and where i could find the stuff, help. thnx.

try bed bath and beyond..or target they have cool things thay you can add to give your basement/hang out room a nice touch...i just recieved their ads in the mail today and they have some pretty things in there that you can probably use...so check those places out!
First, I think you should only build enough wall to hide the hot water heater and sewer drain, etc.
Then have a painter shoot the paint to the open floor joists and beams above with black since this will hide the wires and water-pipes etc... in the overhead.
Next shoot paint on the concrete walls (light blue or green or whatever, but not black).
Why spend all that extra money to put in sheetrock? Besides it'll look like a real nightclub with the open joists and beams. Hang some of your trophies or outdated sports gear on the beam for decoration.
Finally, install indoor/outdoor carpet using contact cement to adhere it right down onto the concrete. Now bring in the pool table and a modular wet-bar and you are ready for a party with your friends.
I live in a Basement apartment, and I love what I did to it.
I would say Wallpaper. Wallpaper puts a special touch on your walls, since they are low and usually have dents and are boring if in a solid color.
Also, a couple of rugs here and there won't hurt. Room dividers are important- should be considered. A couple of plants and a fish tank would be cool, bring some life.
Oh yeah and save some energy by fixing flourescent lights all over the place, not the long tubey one, the spiraly one, which gives off a nice effect.
