How can I make paint deliberately crack and peel?

Question:I'm building a set for a photoshoot. I want it to have a derelict feel. I am using household paints - emulsion. I want it to look as messed up as possible particularly peeling and cracking.

Answers:
Add Elmer's glue to it. I saw this on a home improvement show and the reults were pretty cool. How much you should add; I don't know. Mix a couple of samples and try it out till you get the look you are going for.

mix oil and water based paints. You can buy "Krackle paint" anywhere paint is sold, also.
Try mixing a oil and water based paint. Go to an art store and ask someone who works there and tell them what you are creating.
you can paint the wall a normal color and splash paint to it. and if your gonna do this i advise you to make sure all furniture is covered and u have old cloths on
well paint cracks under heat, try using a hair dryer when the paint is almost dry, if its already dry, then i have no idea.
