Maybe I'm asking a bit much, but does anyone know a cheap way to make those handy rollout shelves for kitichen
Question:I want to make either wood or buy metal shelves for a twelve inch opening in the bottom cabinet of my kitchen
Answers:
well if you know the demensions, you can find the shelve sliders at home depot or lowe's then you just attach those sliders inside the cabinet and on your shelf and voila you have a pull out :) I have had to replace those casters on my computer desk once already when the originals crapped out. and the concept is the same for under the cabinet, as long as you have a wall on either side to mount the slides on your good to go. if it's an open cabinet then the option you have is in the cabinet section of HD or Lowe's some carry the wire just put them in place cabinet sliding sleves so you don't necessarily have to build anything. if you do happen to build it yourself I would advise to put a slight lip around the edges of the shelving peice to insure that the goods you store on it don't end up at the back of the cabinet if you pull out the shelf too fast :) Good luck with your project
drawer rails and a piece of board
The cheapest place I've found to get drawer slides is at the surpluscenter.com website.(see link below) Their price beats your local home-center's price by far!
