De-clutter and keeping my room clean??
Question:I NEED HELP
Answers:
get rid of everything that you don't need and that you are keeping for memories. things that you arn't gonna need later in life. when you get something out, pick it up and put it away.
What sort of help.? Just get rid of stuff you don`t use - that will make a big difference.
Get some organizer items. If you have magazines, you can gift-wrap a cereal box, cut off the lid and part of the side. Then, you can put your books, notebooks, or magazines in there and you can see the titles in the side. If you have Cd's, get a Cd rack.
im waiting on your answer because I have the same problem...lol
Deep clean ONCE! and then just keep it that way!! just don't throw things on the ground even if youare in a rush pick it up and put it in the correct place!
Organizing for Dummies...I'm serious!
First, throw out anything that's junk. Take all the bowls, glasses and silverware you've accumulated to the kitchen to wash. Get rid of the stuff you don't use or need and the clothes that you're never gonna wear for whatever reason. Designate a place for everything and then put everything in it's place. Probably won't take more than an hour and it'll get your mom off your back.
OK! The best thing you could do is to create shelves -- in your closet, against a wall, maybe around the head of your bed.
You need a file cabinet and some files to organize your bills, papers, and things you MUST keep track of. You can also opt for furniture that stores things (like a "sittable" ottoman, rather than another chair, where you can store things inside.
Target, Wal-mart, et.al have nice storage boxes that go on sale each year. There are some that are the perfect size to slip under a bed, and you can store things in there! For seasonal items, say winter sweaters and bedding, you can get plastic bags that "suck the air out" and make those things about an inch tall!
I also find that the white file boxes sold at Staples are easy to stack, look very neat, and you can easily mark the ends as to the contents inside.
It's never been easier to organize -- just keep the things you use the most towards the front. Good luck! :)
First spend some time cleaning it.get rid of things you no longer use. You can donate things to Goodwill or try Freecycle (google it if you don't know what that is). Get boxes or some kind of storage bins to stash away things you want to keep but don't need right now. Once you get it organized, then always put things away after you use them. It doesn't take much time at all to do that and it'll save lots of time later if you just let everything pile up. Always hang your clothes up after laundering. Always pick up trash. Put books and magazines away. Clean up the dirty dishes and soda cans. Again, just always keep up with the clutter and then it won't be a big deal. Get off the computer now and start picking up. If it seems overwhelming to get it all done, just do a little bit at a time. Trust me, you'll feel better after it's all organized.
I feel for you, I'm currently de-cluttering an entire house.
So far I have learned these tips:
To do 1 room :
Get 3 Large Boxes (or more if needed)
Garbage bag
3 Large plastic storage containers and small containers from the dollar store for little things and "groups" of things
Put the 3 boxes into the center of the room:
Decide with Each item in your room that it belongs in one of these category's: ( use the boxes for this)
Keep
Store ( like winter clothes)
Donate ( give away to someone else who can use it)
Garbage
For your clothes:
Go thru eat piece of clothing categorize it by season
Then decide what you will store for next season - put in plastic storage container ( to store)
Give away :
anything you haven't worn in the last 3 weeks
(unless it wasn't in season or it was for a specific thing ..like a suit, dress or something like that)
Be brutal and have a friend help when you get weak and want to hold onto "junk"
If you can't decide then store things to live without for awhile- if you don't miss it after a few months ..pass it on
Your bedroom should be like walking into a peaceful private place:) in no time.
As for keeping it clean do this on a smaller scale once a month.
Donate your stuff to a local Salvation army or Goodwill
