Does anyone know the website where you can check on contractors or any other types of people doing work?
Question:I had heard of a site on the local news channel, and of course now that I need it, I cannot think of it. I want to get a list of contractors in the area, ratings, etc..thanks in advance.

Angies List is in 30 states That gives a rating and reference checks on contractors listed . And to be part of Angies list the contractor must perform certain things. So its tough to stay on there.
There is also the BetterBusiness burearu. But in most places there isnt a good rating system for contractors offered by them.
