Stripping wall paper with unprepared dry wall under?
Question:I need your help stripping wall paper that is 20 years old on just dry wall no prep. any sugestions? we have wallick and dif and steemers but the dry wall keeps coming off with paper. HELP

mix the dif in a bucket instead of a steamer and add liquid fabric softener!! allow the mixture to set on the wallpaper for about 10 minutes and scrape off keeping the wallpaper wet!!
If you live close to a Family Dollar go get some "Wrinkle Release" from the laundry section. It comes in a spray bottle spray and pull. It dissolves the adhesive, it is really concentrated fabric sofener. So its stronger.
You can leave it there. You prep the wall like it was the original dry wall. Use a good primer. Then do what ever you want.
