Question:it shouldnt be but i'm finding it impossible if you didnt understand the main question basically looking for new duvet cover looked on ebay and the usual bedding shops in uk and can't find any- thanks.

Try La Redoute.co.uk. They have some very snazzy duvets that could be described as retro. They are a good price too, not expensive.
Argos used to have a varied selection but they have gone off. Unfortunately their main buyer is female and she can't see beyond pink, frilly and chintzy, not a good look if you are a bloke or want something modern and stylish.

If you want something really unique, try making one yourself, possibly out of two sheets. The way I like to do it, is to put velcro on two sides (bottom and right, say) and seams on the two others (top and left). Then it's very easy to put on and take off.
