Well, I'm not so sure I would lattice because we live in a double wide that didn't have anything put under it for almost 3 years, until we got enough money for the block. Anyway, the wind roared under the house and was really loud and seemed to 'shake' things under the house which was really loud. (I'm not entirely sure what 'shook' but it was loud) The lattice would allow to much airflow in my opinion.

We just had block put under our house and it looks like a ranch style house now and no more loud noise! Plust our insurance is much much cheaper with the block.

Anyway, you could use block or you could put a manmade stone border over it like you would brick...brick is an option too actually. Or you could just buy a new skirting that you like better. I guess it all depends on your budgeting but as the other guy mentioned landscaping is an option as well. You could leave the skirting and cover it with plants. Conifers are beautiful and would cover it year round.

Anyway, you have lots and lots of options. I mean whatever people use on a regular house you can use as well.

Tip: you could put the lattice over the skirting and then add a vine but be careful because vines such as ivy will work their way into siding and even pull wood apart underneath, for example. They will destroy homes if not taken care of but they are great if you prune them often.

Hope this helps a little.

Try putting lattice work around it if you live in an area that does not freeze in the winter. It might look better and if you had flowers planted around it, it might improve the appearance.
