How do I remove Kilz primer (Water based) from laminate flooring?
Question:
Answers:
Go to the hardware store and ask for a product named
OOPS
It will remove many kinds of anwanted marks from painted surfaces withou harming the finish.
If it is water-based it should come up with soap and water and a soft scour pad. Be careful and work slowly. Paint thinner is a baddddd idea! It will remove the finish.
a lot of things try acetone ar paint thinner but be careful if you scrub to hard you can start ever thing on fire and number 2 acetone and paint thinner can reck plastic so test a small spot first
Lacquer thinner, And it shouldn't hurt the laminate, After I build counter tops I use lacquer thinner to clean the excess glue, Just use as little as possible it will take the primer right off.
"Always, Read the directions, even if you don't follow them."
I can only assume it's already dried-even so, being water based, you might do best w/plain soapy water & a scrub brush in order not to damage the floor. Often you can use a putty knife as a scraper without causing damage to a surface, if it comes to that. Lastly, try vinegar deluted w/water; however don't allow it to stand on the laminate - wipe on/wipe off...
Good luck
if it is like linoleam? you can just pick and peel it, just take your fingernail and try to peel it off, or a putty knife or soemthing. try that before you by stuff that'll make your flooring fade.
if soapy water doesn't work, then try a product called Goof Off. You can get it at Wal-Mart of any home improvement store.
