How to remove Pocket doors?
Question:Need to remove sliding pocket doors for some tile work and cannot figure out how to do it

i did my two beloved pocket doors last year. I lifted up to undo the top trailer .pay attention if you plan to reinstall.can be very hard if you bend the upper or lower track. pocket doors are a true craft mans touch.
The easist way is to loosen the screw holding the the upper run (do NOT remove, simply loosen). Once this is loose, you should be able to jiggle the door off of its run. Most pocket doors are held in the runs by their posts only, so once you get the top post loose, raise up the door, the bottom one should be loose.
Remove the verticle molding that abuts the door on the track side and the door will swing into the room and you can lift it off the track
