How can I hang fabric curtains to close off a room?
Question:I have an finished open basement, just one big room with a bed and dresser on one side and my couches and tv on the other. I wanted to hang fabric to get the "middle eastern" or "palace" look. That way I can have the two rooms separated in style. I know to use sheers but what else can I do and how do I hang them?
Answers:
You could hang hooks from your ceiling and attach the divider with rings or clips. They would have to be rather heavy duty, maybe with anchors into the ceiling, to support the weight for the curtain.
the great thing now is they have these rings that have clips on the end of them. You don't actually have to make "curtains" you can just take some fabric you like and us the clips to attach the fabric. Hang a round curtain rod and you are done.
You can go to Lowes or HOme Depot and get a spring loaded curtain rod. They usually only come in white or gold but you can spray paint them bronze or what ever you would like. They work great and can fit in between doorways and/or walls!
This is the one I have.
