How much would it cost to add an outside entrance to a basement. Aprox.?
Question:I know there are a lot of variables but im hoping to get answers from people that either do that kind of work or someone that has had it done. What im looking for is stairs leading down to a door to a basement. Would need to remove dirt cut hole in basement wall. ect Thanks!

This answer is coming from my husband and he is a 15 year veteran contractor specializing in custom remodeling and building custom homes. He says it would be about $2200.
$1400 to install the door, build the stairs and cut the hole for the door. (carpentry work)
$800 for the excavation of the dirt.
You looking at anywhere from $2000.00 to 3000.00. I had that done two year ago in my basement. I'm in NY city
