How can I make my room more..original?
Question:My room has blue walls, a magazine collage closet, and a green bed spread with tons of pillows..kind of just a typical room. How can I make my room more my own?

what color do u like ? if u like pink paint ur walls pink....
paint the walls what ever color u want them...
hang a couple of posers of guys you like in ur room and take the other one;s down.. take some of the pillows out and keep a couple of ur favorites. change the sheets of ur bed to something u like ...
just have fun with it and make it the way u like it paint the walls the way u want them to be =)
hmm.....pictures? posters? hang a chicken wing to the door?

paint north and south wall one color and east and west a another color make sure they work well together we did it with a soft gray blue with a soft gray it looks really cool.. hope this helps have fun with it : )
Hiya, I wanted my room more original aswell !
Now it is on its way to that - instead of been a boring usual common pink teenage girlie room.
My walls were white - so I painted them bright pink, then I did my own unique design on the wall, I didn't do any designing, just got a baby pink paint tub, a paintbrush and went for it. I did a retro circle kind of look . . . with a hint of me ! In the baby pink circles I then did things that were unique to me
Example :
I did words that were related to me and my character.
I did symbols which relate to my life
I added some of my closest friends and families name onto my wall.
You could do something similar -
Which relates to you and no-one else but you.
If you don't feel confident or comfortable doing it straight from your head, do some simple designs and let your artistic skills do the rest !
You could make your own pillow cases for all your pillows,
Example -
If you have a boyfriend, get a picture of you and him together, and get it printed onto fabric, then make a pillow case.
They are lovely, you could even get writing on the fabric.
If you don't have a boyfriend it doesn't matter -
Use a picture of yourself, close friend, family member.
Even get a picture of all your family and have that printed on fabric.

Well, you can start out by NOT asking other people for ideas...try having your own ideas. Isn't that what "original" is in the first place?
Find things that you like and soundround your self with. Good place to start would be magazines and newstants
