Grout Question?
Question:I put too much water in my tile grout, it's like baby food now. Can I let it set up and still use it or is it shot?
Answers:
Pour it away and start again. I used watery grout once - it did set, but left crevasses between the tiles and formed little bubbles that popped, leaving holes. Such a big job it's worth doing right, Grout has to be pretty thick to work - about the consistency of toothpaste - stodgy. Make it up exactly according to the instructions - or if you really can't be bothered, buy some ready mixed grout in a tube!
If you have any grout mix left, add it. If not, and its really runny, it probably won't set.
The grout should be a sorta thicker consistency, but have some thinness to help spread. It also depends on if you are grouting something on a wall, or floor. If it is on a wall, make it thicker so it won't run down the tiles.
Hope this helps!
Yea grout has to be the right thickness, otherwise it won't set up
