Christmas Decorations In May?

Question:I'm really fed up seeing fading Christmas decorations that have been left up on peoples houses, it really bugs me.Does anyone else find irritating? Some have taken a lot of effort to put them up, so why not the same effort to take them down?.I walk my dog every day, and pass the same houses, with the same decorations that have been up for years! Argh!! Tell me I'm not the only one to hate this.Or has your house got them still up too?

You think Christmas lights are bad? I have a neighbor who let's one holiday blend into the next. Right now my home faces the Easter bunny (actually several of them) and leprechauns. They decorate for every holiday but instead of taking down the old decor they just add too it. One year they went as far as putting a stuffed turkey on a toilet on their front lawn. I think they took it out of the house, didn't know what to do with it so they put a turkey on it. That winter was really bad and the toilet froze there with the turkey until Spring. YES, I hate tacky decorations and ESPECIALLY the ones that never go away!

There is a house near my local shop. They still have there Christmas Dec's up inside! Apparently. the person who lives there hasn't taken them down for five years. I take everything down on New Years day. New year new start. Then my family and i can get excited again in December. Going out to pick the tree, decorating it etc.
Maybe those people have a child in Iraq that is coming home. Maybe they just love the look. Maybe they physically can't take them down. Maybe you should walk the other way.
I agree! it drives me nuts when I see christmas lights up and a plastic santa still on the roof this time of the year. There are a few houses I pass everyday going to work that have these still on there house. UGHHH!
You're not alone. It irritates me also. I drove by a house the other day who didn't only still have santa and his deer clminbing up their house, but also still had all of the lights around the house, roof and patio turned ON! I kid you not. Their house was lit up like a cold december morning. My friends neighbor has had their santa's and deer and snow men on their house and in their yard so long the paint is chipping from them which makes it look even worse. If people aren't up for taking down the decortaions they shouldn't even decorate for the holiday to begin with. It's pure lazyness! and looks horrible!
WHO CARES ! its not your house so dont worry about it as long as you dont have them up. does not bother me in the least but my family says everything down by new years or its bad luck .
For some reason some people really like Christmas, and yes it really bothers me too. But there are some older people who once they get them up there have no one to take them down, and then there are the lazy people who simply cannot be bothered to take them down...
The only thing I ever leave up but never turn on until Christmas is strings of clear lights around the roof of my house. You can't actually see them because of the over hang and they can only be seen when lit up, and I am simply too lazy to get up and take them down after Christmas...lol And as you can't see them until your standing right under the over hang, I don't worry about them...
Mine started coming down the day after Christmas. People who leave them up year round are just lazy.
