One Big gives rich look.
A single large picture will make the room look larger than several small pictures.
i would prefer the small one as big pictures may make the room look bad

Choose one wall and hang a large mirror. This will make room appear larger. Also, I have one area between 2 large windows wher I hung a bunch of small, unique pix with different type frames and compositions that looks nice.
